Sylvia had a deep inner beauty full of surprises and talents, an interest in everything: space, the countryside, wildlife, zoos. She stood up for family values and was a prolific letter writer, one who needed to right wrongs and also drew on her own life story. She was pretty, petite, with light brown hair, and fantastic steel blue eyes and so young at heart; most of all she followed the horses and could pick a winner by just a quick glance. She had much to do, even when she should have started to slow down and take things easy. She bore the hidden pain incredibly stoically and bravely and accepted her lot, her fate, with dignity and cared especially for me and her son, Hector and implored us to be strong for her too. She was a wonderful human being with a great big heart. She had just had so much more living to do and so much more love to give. I couldnt have asked for a better friend, companion and loving partner.
